See one on Craigslist and I guess I didn't realize they put them in there. Anybody here have one?
Do you like it?
What kind of mileage do they get?
Is it the 2.5? Is it under powered?

I'm sure I can google the expected mileage, but I'd like an owner's perspective. Thanks.

4 cylinders came stock with 4.10s
my front diff was for a 4 cylinder
from most I have heard they are underpowered to say the least
fuel mileage is about or under what the 6's are

Thanks, Tommudd. I suspected they would be under powered due to the weight.

I have heard of the 4 banger gas Liberty's but never seen one. Don't think it would be very fast or have any kind of power. Now a 4 cylinder turbo diesel is awsome :JEEPIN:

My 02 is a 4 cylinder. 2.4L dohc, Same thng that came in the PT Cruizer and such. Power wasn't bad stock but after adding larger tires and weight it goes downhill fast. As far as fuel mileage I get 14-15 mpgs on the highway but 18-19 mpgs on 2 lane backroads. On the highways around here i can rarely get into 5th gear with out downshifting again in less than a minute to keep up speed.
