I was thinking about getting these for my KK but wanted to see what everyone thought about them. I'm prob gunna keep the stock rims, what's the biggest tire size I can fit on my kk without having a lift and that will fit the stock rims. I've heard these are good tires so just wanna see what you guys think. I want bigger tires to make my kk look like a real jeep but nothing to crazy because I don't want driving affected by the tires too much.

I've had two sets on my Jeeps. I love them but you'll pay a hefty price! They wear very well and grip like no other tires I've ever run.

Have 'em, like 'em. Good all around tire, not real noisy, really good in sand, good on rocks but suck in mud. Doesn't snow here so I can't speak to that.

As noted they are a bit pricey. Not sure what max size you can run without rubbing, I imagine 245/75/16 or 245/70/16 on the stock wheel. Others that have KK's will be able to tell you.

Great "happy medium" tire between highway and off road. They do wear very well and look good. I've had two sets on a Tacoma and loved them. 245/70/16 is probably your best bet.

Thanks for the replies. Since they are pricy, what other tires would you recommend similar to these that are cheaper?

There are really so many decent tires to pick from. Check the Goodyear Duratrax or if you do mostly on road driving Michelin LTX M/S 2. Others will give you input I am sure.

A similar tire for less $$ would be the General AT2. Had them on my work truck, they are very good off road. I'm partial to Michelins, though and run LTX MS2 as msot of my Liberty driving is on road, but with limited off road and slippery boat ramps. I heard the LTX AT2 are good as well, but that puts you back in the $$ range of the BFG's

I have General Grabber AT2s on my KK. I love em. Great on road traction. This winter we had a few feet of snow and they performed better than I would have ever imagined. They gripped through 2 feet of snow like it was nothing.

I had some BF Goodrich AT's on both my classic Broncos and loved them. I just recently went with some Duratracs because they were significantly cheaper for the size I was looking to get and have better off-road reviews (hoping to go off-roading more in the near future). Plus, everyone on this forum who has them loves them. If you can deal with the price, the BF's are definitely a good all around tire.

How are the duratracs as a daily driver? Are they noisy?

I find the Duratracs are more noisy at slower speeds. I hear them more when I am going 10mph or below. Usually slowing down for a stoplight/sign. That's when I hear the low wrrrrrrrr. I don't hear them on the highway at all. I do have a skyslider though so between the wind over canvas noise and the radio it may just be that I can't hear them over that.

I've only got about 1000 mile on them but so far they've been great.

Hankook ATM's on my KJ quiet and great traction in snow. I paid $100 each, about$65 each less than BFG. JP magazine did a comparison and the results were surprising. Check it out.

I was thinking real hard about the Hankook's as well. I decided on the Duratracs becuase they were roughly the same price and I am hoping to go off-road regularly enough that the Duratracs seemed like a better choice (moer aggressive sidewall, lug pattern, etc.)

Agreed with the Hankooks. Have not wheeled with them yet but they are amazing in the snow. I've had them about 1000 miles so I can't comment on the tread wear, but they do have a 50k warranty. About $120 each shipped from discounttiredirect.com

these in 245/70/16 are excellent. On my second round of these....60K mile warranty to boot, look good with a nice square shoulder lug, plus Hakka Siping...about the best in the business for winter/wet driving.

Any BFG tire has extremely weak sidewalls and don't balance very well from personal experiance.Couldn't pay me to run a bfg tire, total junk with a high price tag.

Be careflu also as most are LT tires with no mileage warranty, and make sure to get the road hazard warranty as you will need it.
