So I've been debating on selling my M100 Army trailer since I don't have the time to restore it. The current offer is a Warn M8000 winch with a 125 cable, snatch block, remote and Jeep mounting plate. Figured I could mount it on a receiver plate and install a front hitch on my jeep. I don't know ANYTHING about winches so can anyone give me some info if this would be a decent trade or not? I would have to drive about half way between Clayton, NC and Virginia Beach, Va to make the trade.

thanks in advanced.

depends on Which jeep mounting plate it is as to whether that would be useful, if not you can probably resell the plate and get one that is useful to ya

new the m8000 is about 750 bucks, m100's usually go for about a grand depending on their condition, i personally like the 105 trailers better but hey that's just personal pref.

if you don't want the m100, and do want the winch then.. i think the question answers itself

see if you can get them to get ya 125' of syn line, it would level the trade out a bit

The trailer has two holes that were rusted threw but very fixable. the bottom of the tub is rusted at the bottom but I think is more surface rust. I had plans to restore it but not really sure what I would use it for. Figured I could use the winch more.

I just didn't know if that certain winch was a decent one or what.

Its a Warn, check around and you'll find; its a good brand. 8000pds is enough for the Liberty. Rule of thumb is 2x the curb wieght of the vehicle its being mounted on.

Is the winch new? if not, I'd want to see it operate, check winch in and out, make sure you get the wired controller.
