I had replied in another post about a downshift issue.
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52262&p=639749&hilit=30+MPH+Downshift#p639749
However I have isolated my symptoms and they vary from any search outcome I have seen.
2005 Renegade Trans dealer flushed at 60,000 and again at 130,000. Shortly after second flush I noticed a harsh downshift issue.
Regardless of deceleration rate the trans downshifts hard at exactly 30MPH.
It feels like a jump from 4 to 2.
Upshifts are smooth.
Another odd symptom is with cruise set going downhill and momentum forces speed above set speed the downshift was startling. I haven't used the cruise since.
Any Advise very much appreciated.

After a transmission service they're supposed to do a "quick learn" procedure. This puts the shift settings to a know default condition and it will then learn your driving style. In the FSM (Factory Service Manual) there's a procedure for doing the specific gear changes by driving it a certain way :SOMBRERO:
If you don't have a FSM go to the CRD section and read Sam's noob guide even it you don't have a CRD, you'll find a link to a download site :D
When the transmission fluid is changed the pressure is different and the computer must relearn it's settings. It can take several hundreds of miles of regular driving to relearn so have a look at the FSM :JEEPIN:
