KJ pics with Ford

Saw this beast and had to take pictures...

Saturday, I saw this IFS lifted Toyota pick-up at Taco Bell. No photo ops with that one.

And tried recruiting a new LOST Member by leaving a note on their windshield.

Hey BW, can you snap or forward me to where there are some pics of your trimmed bumper? Sure looks sharp. Mostly looking for how you did the bottom of the flair.

Ohh, on topic. Id take the liberty vs the truck any day. So many more places to go...

look at the flare right below the bottom rivit start the cut right under it and cut away

Is that why tomm is so grumpy, he originated fender trimming!

I just have a bit of anxiety, doesn't help when I dont have any KJ enablers around. (working on a NEPA Lost something or another)

I never trimmed my flares; only front and rear bumper. Thanks for the compliment though. I'd sure drive that Ford though; and it would be a nice tow rig for a SFA Liberty.

Anyhow, there is no copyright against modding a Liberty the same way someone else has. So no reason to get grumpy. My rear bumper is trimmed more than others though; because on the first trim it was uneven. So the second trim I had to cut more off. It still needs to be trimmed because of a few uneven spots.

If you want, I'll PM you how I trimmed up my KJ. I'm at college right now and have to go to class soon.

Any guidance would be appreciated! Really dont want to cut unless I must. Looking to have a plan though since we got a trip up in PA this weekend.

Would recommend using a marked line,one of the cheap lasers, something as it is very easy to get off track going around the curves. It sure reduces the amount of mud you pack around.

Now I never said anything about no one else could do it
I was in fact making a joke but once again someone takes it the wrong way and goes off
And yes you did it fact cut the rear flares or they would be hanging down 4 or 6 inches below the rear bumper
Come on now give us a little credit here for knowing what you did :goink:

I was just trying to help since I have several pictures I took while doing mine

My ride for a few days. Already missing the KJ.
Nothing is wrong with the Jeep; just driving a car to save money on gas. Next Saturday is Somernites Cruise and I'll be showing the KJ with no doors (weather permitting).
