Moabs with the MT/Rs this weekend.

My question is, is it possible to NOT bang down the pinchweld and have it still be driveable? How much rubbing is there if I am just driving on the road. Do I HAVE TO pound down the pinch weld or can it wait until later when I plan on going off road (and the when the wheels will be getting stuffed)?

I called the 3M rep about applying the rubberized undercoating and he said ideally it should be applied in 60-70 degree weather (which we won't have for another month or so - I'm in New York).

Thanks for any answers.

No. You will rub with MTR's (245/75/16) and Rubicon wheels.

The work is not that hard, but patience is needed to do a good job.

I'll post the pictures of my work in a bit.

Pixeldzn just installed those - no need to pound the pinchweld - one issue you might have is with the plastic cover that runs under the bumper - it is a long plastic cover that runs side to side - you will rub on full turn backing up. It is connected by two pins - just take it off and you are done - this plastic cover is just for looks I guess - that is the only issue we found after installing the Frankenlift & Moab Rims / mt/rs

It is not only attatched with 2 pins. It is necessary to dremel it off.
