Hi all

Test driving a 06 CRD Limited tonight and I was wondering whether they are available with the Trac-Loc locking rear differential for this model year. I can't see any reference to this on Jeeps website. Any help?

Thanks

For '06, they did away with the Trac-Loc diff. All of them now have Electronic Stability Program and Electronic Traction Control.

Thanks...I guess if I decide to buy rather than lease I can always go with the PowerTrax No Slip.
Loved the ride compared to the Pathfiner, Xterra and 4Runner. Waiting until the FJ Cruiser gets here to test though.
Has anybody test drove one yet?
Front end felt heavier than the gasser and the diesel (gas) pedal throw was very short, is this normal?
Also can the Frankenlift be installed on a diesel or is there a better lift out there for it?
Wife would have prefered a switch for the 4x4 but I love the manual handle instead. Just feels more substantial.
Unless the FJ blows me away I think I'm hooked.

The FJ is just a 4Runner with a different body and interior, so it should not be much different driving.

Seems like I have seen someone here with a Frakenlift on a CRD, but not positive.

The FJ is rated 17 & 21 mpg compared to 21 & 28 mpg for CRD.

Welcome to LOST!!

The Frankenlift isn't suggested for the CRD because of the additional front-end weight. They are working on it for us, but the front spring compress too fast now. In the meantime, the Daystar lift is pretty consistently considered the best option. There is a 2" lift and a 2.5" lift by Daystar, and they have both of them at boulderbars.com.

I can't wait to see the FJ cruiser myself (back to the roots), but I just don't see it being as all-around great as the KJ. This truck is just unbeatable when you need something that does everything well.

The FJ cruiser arrives @ stealerships here in Winnipeg April 6th. I can hold my purchase off for 2 more weeks.
I just can't get over the white roof. They don't even have an option for a different color.
Anyhow the wife and I absolutly loved the KJ that we drove last night. But I want to put away that nagging felling of 'what if', thats why we're waiting.

When you purchased or leased your KJ did you start negot. from cost up?

With all the good reviews about the frankenlifty on this website I think I can wait for it.

Anybody here from Winnipeg?
