My time has come to change my tires.... I own a 2008 Liberty Limited model and I was thinking on putting a little and inexpensive lift like the 2" Daystar Lift. My question is if a 245 75 R17 will fit...? has anybody tried this tire size before? they are actually 2" bigger than stock so if I do my calculations right, their should be no problem at all.... what do you guys think?

They will probably rub. I would try 235/75/17.

This site may be helpful to you. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos
Try looking around in the tire section to see what other people with the 17" limited wheels are running.

They'll fit. You might have to do the pinch weld mod.

I don't fully understand the way the tire size is read but will this tire size work with the daystar and the 15in rims? I'd like to changethe tires from stockers soon and need to start researching.

Gren, you have 16" rims.

First number: width in milimeters (245)
Second number: aspect ratio compared to the first number (75)
Third number: rim size (16)

245/75/16 is what i and most lifted kks and kjs run

depends too if you have any sag. the daystar is only working with your existing springs so you may not see a full amount of lift. 245/75/16s are roughly a 30.5" tire give or take with brand and design.

I don't see any sag, maybe a little with a full tank.

Here's some tires I found.

Discounttiredirect.com is a great site to order tires from too. Free shipping and no sales tax. I have ordered two sets from them and no problems.

I'm curious what kisnd of fuel economy you Los when you got tires this size? I couldn't imagine it would be an awful lot...maybe a mpg or two.
