on the fog light lenses, i noticed both of mine were cracked this weekend while i had it on the hoist installing the lift kit. the thing is, i've never used the fog lights. i've only turned them on a couple times to see if they help, and i always forget about them so i've never used them on the road or left it parked with them on to create a temperature difference.

Hey there CTKJ, I noticed that you have the Cooper Discover ATR's. Have you had them off roading yet and if so, how did they do and how do you like them? I just got a set for my girlfriends Chevy Trailblazer because the stock tires really suck in the rain and worse in the snow, even in 4WD.
Thanks for the reply.
I was also looking at the STT's and the ST-C's while I was there getting the ATR's.

So far I like them, I've had them off-road 4 times and had no trouble. Their pretty good in the rain and snow, and are fairly quiet.

I have one that is cracked and one that isn't. The one that is cracked happend in about Augest of 04. There are only a couple of places in the world that gets freezing weather at this time and West Virgina is not one of those places.

CTKJ, thanks for the reply. I did notice the difference and how much better they are on the road in rain and snow as well. They a MUCH better then the stock tires on the trailblazer. Just wondered how they did off road. Not sure about the Yokohama's I have looked at the Geolanders AT2's.
Sorry about the tire questions here. Didn't mean to hijack the thread.
Thanks again for the replys

I went for almost 10 years with a pair of Bosch on my VW. Not till I moved to Detroit did I bust BOTH the same year. My KC's on my minivan have been "glued" back together about 3 times. The ones on my RV are still good but they are the type you see on big trucks and I think anything short of a 45cal round just bounces off. :D I remember a place that sells some kind of stick on "armor" for headlamps, driving lamps, etc.. This is one of the places:

When I bought my '05 kj noticed both of my fog lights were cracked all to hell in less than 2 months. And I live in south texas where freezing temps are rare enough to make national news. I think the plastic they are using is just too brittle. Are there any aftermarket ones that will fit in the same spot as the stock ones without too much trouble?

The fogs on my Renny are made by Hella...I took a look at em and in my opinion they are solid....thick glass and nice housings, and they are secured very well to the bumper....I wouldn't replace them, I hope you got fogs figured out...best of luck

The cracking problem seems odd. I have an '05 with the stock fog lights AND have upgraded the bulbs to 65W Silverstars. No problems at all and I use them all the time as driving lights...even when we had the below zero temps a few weeks back.
