I have a Safety Thimble on the end of my winch line and I want to get a hook to attach to it. I'd like the hook to have a spring loaded "closed tab" over the opening in the hook as well. Of course it needs to be at least strong enough to pull the weight of my KJ, so would that be Grade 120? Any of you LOSTers know where might I find such a hook...?

I've looked on the interwebs at some tow hooks but can't yet seem to find the right one.

Thanks for all your help!!

I just use a 7 ton rated 5/8" alloy shackle. My old synthetic line had a hook and it was kinda a hassle to deal with.

So I called and talked to Thor, super nice and helpful guy, and he's going to set me up with a hook tomorrow. As it turns out I live less than a mile from Viking Offroad/Winchline.com. Love that.

Thanks for the tip!

Happy Jeeping...! :JEEPIN: :JEEPIN:

Happy they could help. They are very responsive. That is who I bought my winch line, fairlead and hook from. I also have the safety thimble on the end. Plus most of what they sell is USA made.
