I’m about to turn 30,000 miles on the KJ. The Jeeps is about 4.5 years old. Should I go ahead and change the coolant or do you think I’m good for another year? Image

I would.
Less expensive in the long run.

Yeah the less you drive the faster the coolant goes bad.I'd be looking at changing it every 3 years.

Will I need two gallons of the Mopar coolant?

Or Zerex GO5,Ford Gold(or what ever they call it) is good to go also.Just read the label to see if it's pre-mixed or not,if not pre-mixed don't forget use distilled water only.

Yep, I have several gallons of distilled water left over from the Dodge and Jeep Cherokee coolant change.

Our coolant and most longlife ones are good for 100,000 miles or about 5 years whichever comes first. so you are about due. I got mine at Napa, they sell the ZEREX G-05 concentrate and it's cheaper than Mopar at the stealership. Distilled water is important to use if you have hard tap water, you don't want all that hard water garbage in the engine.
