OK I have access to an abused, beaten and otherwise neglected CRD libby and I want to use it on the FARM, not on the ROAD.

I am bringing this back to life as a project offroad CRD

Can I run #2 Dyed/Agricultural Diesel and should I consider any mods in particular to the fuel system when running this fuel?

It is just the same old diesel with red dye and 35-45 cents in taxes taken out. I figured you would already know that since all your other farm equipment and trucks run on it without alteration. Once in the tank, it will take quite a few on road tanks to clean out the system of the dye if you decide to run it on the highway later. Although, the odds of a trooper or inspector stopping a Liberty are slim.

It will probably make a good mule. Around here, quite a few guys run small 4x4's as chore trucks. My father in law uses trackers, they are small, light, get great mileage, are climate controlled and you can pick them up all day long for 1000-1500 which is a lot cheaper than a gator/mule. He saves the 1 ton for round bales and pulling trailers.

I started a thread about this in 2008. If not using it were money, the search feature would be the debt ceiling.

And if not finding it were politics, the search feature would be congress. (ie barely functional)

In all seriousness, #2 red will be just fine to run, MOST of the time its just the same ULSD that comes out the pipe, sometimes is it higher sulfur diesel that hasn't been refined as much, in either case your fine.

Are they still delivering 500ppm to the farm or ULSD? IMHO, these little rigs do not like 500ppm as well as ULSD.

Oh, and yes, 500ppm is still available, it just may not be available to everyone.
