If you remove your front driveshaft nothing will leak out.
If someone is they have another issue, not sure where you are reading that at?????
I know of three or 4 right now that have been running for months with out one!

Maybe I should stop answering questions :ROTFL:

When I pulled mine, a small amount of something that looked and smelled like gear oil dripped out from the front. I drove around without it for about three weeks and nothing else leaked. Someone else here had a similar experience.

I think some people who reported "major" leaks were mistaking the front CVs for the "driveshaft"

Plus 1. Mine has been sitting in the back of my jeep for a few months now. Have the rebuild kit, just haven't had time or motivation to get it done......Guess I need to get it done before winter!??!?!

Just for future people who stumble on this.
After removing driveshaft, I saw no way for it to leak.

the design will not allow, unless another issue is present.

Regardless, I made a 2 layer seal on each with duct tape, mostly to keep threads clean and dirt/water out.

Thanks to everyone who posted!
