Anyone done the Rusty's Off-Road 2.5 lift? :JEEPIN: The one with new springs and all.

Seems to me from the description that it would be okay for moderate lift on a daily driver.

Just want more clearance for those unexpected trips, when I don't have my lifted.modified YJ with me.

Has about the same spring rate as stock so they will sag... but... I think its a reasonable deal. I've been on daystar pucks for 2 years and can't complain.

I had a rusty lift and it was terrible. Go for a frankenlift2. Remember with lifts you get what you pay for.

Out of over 20 lifts I've done I did one Rustys full spring
when the OMEs were still going strong the Rustys had sagged over 2 inches, and that was in less than two years and very little miles since this was not a DD. Plus their rear shocks are total junk. They do use OME front shocks with their decal on it, only thing in the whole package worth anything

Well they used to use OME front shocks. I have not seen one of their kits in a couple of years now so who knows. But it was that way

The Rustys lift I got a year ago does not have OME front shocks they are white with no stickers, made by Tenneco (I think thats the name of the company). Lift sitting at a hair over 21 inches. So far still rides good and looks good, yes I know it's not as good as the OME.

So they have now went the cheap route as well!
Can't see the reason to cheap out and still sell them for what they do. cheap shocks, cheap springs

it's awesome, if I need to mix a baby bottle I just put it in the cupholder and drive down the road

It depends on what your going to do with your Jeep. I don't go crazy wheeling, used too, but my jeep is pretty much a daily driver. I am going to be replacing the suspension before summer and I'm more than likely going the OME route. But If I didnt have a grand to drop, the rusty's lift is a decent alternatice.

I am going to a Frankinlift down the road, but would like a little lift for a daily driver right now. I am not sure what you mean, are the Daystar pucks way too stiff for a daily driver, or a good alternative for now? :JEEPIN: I am on a tight budget for now.

Depends on miles etc on your CRD
if it has over 40,000 or so I'd say save up and do it right the first time, you're not saving much of anything by waiting maybe 150 bucks or so
