SO TODAY AT LUNCH I NOTICED MY SPEEDO STARTED JUMPING.
AT ONE POINT IT READ 0 AND I WAS GOING ABOUT 40 MPH.

WHAT'S GOING ON????

EVERYTHING ELSE SEEMS FINE. NO LIGHTS, SHIFTS AND DRIVES FINE.

CLUSTER ON IT WAY OUT?

IS IT COMPUTER CONTROLLED OR CABLE DRIVEN?

Year of KJ? ABS or not? Need more info.

Most common for '05 and older KJ's is bad wiring connection on the rear sensor located on the top of the rear diff. Most cases very hard to find as it's inside the connector that most of the breaks happen.

Wire at the top of rear axle like TJKJ says. Mine will act up after a jump or hanging axle down enough to pull on the wire.

Had the same issue on my wife's 02, chaffed wire at the speed sensor connector by rear diff. Cut out the damaged wire, spliced in an extension, redid the connections, no issue since.
