I've been doing a lot more "in town" driving than usual lately, and usually turn the overdrive off to
prevent early shifting and loss of RPM.

Because the OD is off, I'm noticing a more pronounced "locker" type of backlash from the rear end
when accelerating and decelerating.

Could it be possible that I have a factory limited slip?!? Or is this just the electronics being goofy?

Is there a code on the VIN, or on the diff itself that will tell me if it's limited slip or not??

I'm thinking it's possible only because during last years big snowstorm I bulldozed thru 3+ feet of snow
without so much as spinning a tire from a dead stop.

Since my Libby is the base model without even a single skid plate, having factory limited slip
would be cool..... one less thing to buy.....

2 easy ways to tell if you have the OEM trashloc.................

1st is to look on the rear axle,I believe it's on the passenger side axle tube will be a sticker,if it's still there and readable it will say if it's open or has a LSD.The 2nd is to jack up one rear wheel(either one) with the KJ in "N"(block front wheels on level ground) and if you can turn that wheel you jacked up your open,if you can not turn that wheel you have the LSD.

Also email your vin number to the jeep stealer peeps and they will send you a build sheet for your rig. They did for mine anyways. I try and do that with every car Ive owned.
