I still refuse to pay that for a KJ lift. sorry but $700 is half a long arm kit for my other Jeeps.
this lift is for looks and ride.
you all (tom) have beat me into submission on the OME coils. ill get them for the front. but I still dont feel comfortable with the 1.5" lift they list at.
so 1.5" lift there means I need a 3/8 top plate shim just to get to 2.25 lift. then need 3/8" clevis lift to get to 2.75 total lift.
then on the rear 2" coils need one or two additional spacers. the rear is easier to make match the front so i can trial and error on that end. the OME coils only state 1.5" lift....so that would entail a butt load of spring isos to match the front
Don't pay attention to the 1.5" of lift from the OME. In fact, pretend it's not there at all. Tom stated to you somewhere on one of your two threads about this that the OME coils give you more than 1.5". It's more of like 2.5", depending on where you were at stock height. You can do a clevis lift up front to gain and extra 0.75" of lift. Couple of upper rear isos (per side) in the back will give you the leveling lift you wanted.
You still have not stated how many miles are on your KJ, which would help out here.
Trust me, spending $700 for the OME COILS AND SPRINGS is worth the money. I rode in Tom's Jeep Liberty back in September and it rode really well. Of course he's been doing this thing for longer than most of us have been alive.
You don't want your wife to be unhappy with how her KJ rides.
This is coming from a woman Jeeper (KJ owner); OME lift is worth it and there are dozens of KJ owners with the lift on their Jeep that will back that up 100%. You asked for our help and we are trying to get across to you what would be best for you and your Jeep.
