My KJ is 10 today. And it's raining just like the day I drove out of the showroom. That was pretty cool for them to keep it in the showroom until I got there. 159944 miles and only one exploded front diff. Burns a quart about the time it needs a change. Frankenlift,245/75-16,Powertrax no-skid 8.25 locker,Jeep front/transfer/gas tank,Skid Row transmission,Rocky Road outfitters step bars, and a Cole brothers rear diff cage. Got 20 MPG once too.

I didn't buy this intending to wheel it that just happened. First Liberty to do Big Dogs. Boy did I hear a buncha s*#t from those guys. Until I cleaned the hill on Up "U" turn hard when others were having serious problems. All I had then was MT/Rs and a cobbled up 3" lift from various parts and skids. The trail leader gave me grief whenever he could on day 2 until he blew a front hub and had to ride the skid loader out. i said nothing but smiled as he was drug past me.

To those who said the KJ isn't a Jeep I say..........well nevermind it ain't nice. I plan on keeping it until one of us can't go anymore. Sooner or later I'll get a solid axle under the front and go wheeling again. First and last new car I'll ever buy.

I bought my 01 Cherokee because the dealer told my Chrysler had "screwed up" with the new Liberty. While the Cherokee was nice, my wife and I have owned 3 liberties since. After discounts my 06 KJ costs just north of 18k new out the door.

The little Jeep should give me two more years of service before being handed down to my daughter. Not too shabby...

Very nice and happy birthday to your KJ. I too catch doo doo all the time for my KJ and it makes me want to keep it more. Sadly with a baby on the way having 2 jeeps and a honda might not be viable. But if it is I plan on making the KJ a trail only/farm truck when the WJ gets tagged.

I was 12 years old in 1987, and I was pretty sure that video was porn. Image

My Liberty is going on 11 years and 140,000 miles and I still don't have any desire to buy a new vehicle. I still love driving it and it still runs like a champ! I've never had any major issues with it, and I've never needed an LBJ or a window regulator. This is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned. I'll definitely buy another Jeep if this one ever dies. I think a Wrangler with that Pentastar might be next!
