Did a lot searching but can't seem to find a solution.

I have an 05 CRD with selec-trac. Part time hi and full time both engage just fine.
Once I pull back past full time I don't see any dash light at all...no neutral and no part time lo.
I have tried from a complete stop, and while rolling in neutral at about 2mph.

Service manual says the tcase cable may be binding, but everything looks okay. Just changed the fluid too.

Don't want to pull on the lever any harder than I already am...any suggestions?

Thanks

Howdy Krystofer Welcome to LOST

check your tire pressure.

The NV242 transfer case uses a cable that pulls a spring that pulls on a collar.
if there's any speed variation - front to rear - tires size/wear/pressure - the collar will not slide over the gear it has to connect to, and it can be a pretty minor difference - so that's the first check.

- you can also just have the shift mechanism out of alignment - you have to look underneath
I haven't done that so I remember someone posting about it - but not where - so you might try a search
(if the LOST search doesn't work well - Google Advanced is really good)

Thanks!

Took another look up at the cable...and found the cable is messed up, so it is binding when reaching back to 4Lo

Guess I have to install a new cable
