strange I looked up the first code and came across that the sensor on the airbox must have a strong connection so I went and ziptied it and now my jeep's power is back and the transmission is fine? was my jeep in limp mode?

yes it was in limp mode due to the airbox sensor.

As I recall P0700 is just telling you that there are 1 or more tranny codes stored. P0841 is a tranny shift related code, don't know about P1189. My bet is that limp mode can throw these codes but since you have cured the cause of the limp mode these codes should self clear after a few drive cycles. I know before I figured out how to deal with, not fix, the tranny fluid drain back problem that when I had the "shudder/stall" I would sometimes get a tranny code and CEL but they both went away after just few start cycles.

I am also getting a P0700 code, related to the overdrive. When driving up and down hills, it appears that the transmission gets confused, and I sometimes get a hard clunk when the OD kicks in, with a CEL coming on and the P0700 code associated. No problem when running with OD off.

05 CRD has about 80K miles. No history from PO.

Fluid appears to be fresh and is filled to the mark.

My thoughts are-
Possible bad TCM module or sensor?
trans filter clogging?
Worn pump?
bad programming of TCM?

Would like suggestions on diagnosing/correcting this problem.
I'm thinking of the GDE flash, but want to do the right things in the right order.
Thoughts or suggestions welcomed.

LMW
