Incontinence is no laughing matter. Especially when your lined up at the drive through and your beloved KJ flatulates loudly but briefly from under the hood. It may also happen not long after the engine is shut off. Usually no more than once per trip, but always when traveling slow/stopped; never on the highway.

I've got my guess, just wanted to hear if their were any other experiences / guesses. If I'm correct, I may decide to not repair it as I could just simply explain to our family and friends -

"It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand"

I wouldn't be doing this thread justice without throwing in a few keywords to help future sufferers of this issue:

fart,
toot,
flatulence,
cut the cheese,
break wind,
poot,
flatulate,
and rip one.

Pretty much what I thought; only thing with pressure left in it with engine shut off a moment or two is the cooling system.

Thanks,

Now lets see if you can resolve the clunking sound in my next thread...

Mine would do it after a while driving, and then every once in a while after I would just stop
Make sure you get the right pressure cap, some parts books list the 16 lb I think it shows

clunking sound
year, miles, stock suspension , only when cold

Hmmm, I was going to say the air intake. Mine really sucks down the air in the same situation you described.

Mine makes the same sounds strangely only when my wife is in the Jeep with me. I noticed it also smells like booty afterwards too. Any ideas?
