Hey guys, curious if any one has tried to put Rubicon wheels and tires on a KK? I know our bolt pattern is different but I found some spacers that turn or 5X4.5 hub into a 5X5 hub. My friend just lifted his Unlimited and asked if I wanted his stock shoes. I think the height and width will fit after my 2.5 lift is installed. Any thoughts or opinions?

If you get the spacers you should be ok. What size tires does he have? I know there are a few wheel/tire options for the Wrangler from the factory. As long as the tires aren't more then 31" you should be ok. Anything over 31" and you will need more then 2.5" of lift.
Also don't forget that the spacers will bring the wheels out 1 1/4" so that might create more problems with a minimal lift and big tires. If you do it make sure you post the results so we all know how it works!

I'm not sure of the exact metric size but he says they are close to 31.5's.

with the size of the tires and the offset you are gonna have running the spacers, im gonna guess youre more then likely gonna rub pretty bad.

Yeah, that's a big tire to run with a 2.5" lift and 1 1/4" spacers. Not sure that's going to work very well. I'd love to see you give it go though!

When you guys are saying "rub" do you think it will rub on the outside of the fender because of the offset?

rub as in if you try turning you will rip a fender flare off and likely wouldnt be able to turn the wheel past the pinch weld even if it were pounded. i have similarly sized tires on more lift and an inch less offset. i had to pound my pinch weld flat and heat up the fender liner in the backside of the wheel well to adjust it so it wouldnt rub. on the front of the wheel well i have a bit of the front bumpers lower lip cut off and a section of the fender liner cut out also. they might fit on there but you will have to do a lot of cutting and making 9 point turns into parking spots.
