You think it could be a Chinese knock off? Between his negative and neutral feed back I only see on complaint of made in China for an AC accumulator. It looks as if you buy it and send it back he charges 15% restocking fee no matter what. I guess I would ask a question before I buy so there is a record?

The price he is asking is only about $100 less than what an ADS shop quoted me for a brand-new genuine Garrett... For that little, I would go with the ADS shop every time. Far too many scammers on Ebay on both sides of the transaction, which is why I won't sell there anymore. Had a buyer claim against me for "item not shipped" and even with the proof I provided, Ebay sided with the scammer and has been demanding their money ever since. (They reimbursed him directly)

I won't use them or Paypal again unless there is no other option.

Good point, if I ever needed a part like that I would most likely go to Mopar on line.

They are a good resource, but for the turbo, injection pump, and injectors... Don't forget about your local Association of Diesel Servicers or Bosch injector shop. Our turbos are an off-the-shelf Garrett, ditto for the CP3 pump and the injectors. There is NO good reason to pay a markup to Mopar and reward them for simply putting their number on a part and increasing the price, especially after their STELLAR treatment of the CRD as a model.

Add to that, some dealers have been wanting the turbos back as a core, when Garrett flatly states that they don't rebuild this model OR sell individual parts. So what is Mopar doing with those cores? Thanks, I think I'll keep my spare scrap parts. Maybe I'm too cynical, but sadly I am proven right in my suspicions more often than not. At least going to your local Bosch shop with the parts, they can rebuild the pump / injectors and blueprint them for you where Mopar's answer is just throw more money at new parts or replace the entire engine.

Hello All,

I am selling my '06 CRD Limited. Do you think I should post here or in the classified section?

If it is CRD... Not just in this thread, but this ROOM "Liberty CRD Love that Torque!" is the best place, many of us never wander outside this area, and the rest of the board seems content to leave us to our sooty happiness.

If you want diesel drinkers to see it, this is the place to put it.
