Just done brake pads and rotors all round. I didn't buy any ebrake shoes because I've probably used it a couple of times in the lifetime of the vehicle so didn't expect any wear. I did, however, find that the friction surface is delaminating from the metal shoe. Anyone else experienced this?

Not a CRD issue as the brakes are the same as the gasser nor is it a Jeep issue. Just Google "brake shoe delamination" for lots of examples of the friction material coming unglued over time.

Ah yes, interesting, I've never experienced this before. It seems to be a corrosion related issue exacerbated by harsh winters and salt. The super thin friction surface on these shoes probably doesn't help matters.

It's a common issue when the parking brakes are hardly used.Use them alot and it it's not so much of a issue.
