I am new to the forum, have been on here reading quite a bit the last few days and was hoping somebody might be able to give me some advice.

I have been looking at new the new Arctic Liberty. I started looking around at used off rental 2011 models, however I realized that with my preferred pricing from work which seems to be similar to the tread lightly discount at 1% under invoice and the current 3000 cash back I would be better off in the long run purchasing new. I had financing pre-approved through my bank and have a sizable down payment. Found one that I was interested in and drove the 30 miles to go take a look. Thought I had a pretty good deal worked out with the sales guy and was happy with my banks financing offer.

Put a holder on the Jeep Friday and their finance guy said he could beat the rate my bank had offered. I didn't think this would be possible as I had already been approved for the best rate available at my bank. Anyways... finance guy said he would call me back on Monday, had not heard anything from him this AM so I called him. He acted like I was inconveniencing him and then started in with the undermining financial BS that I had told the sales guy I was not going to put up with. Trying to quote the loan in monthly payment terms and talking about adding all of the life insurance and service plan nonsense at about $70 more per month. He was only able to beat my banks rate by .1%.

Anyways, I am a little frustrated and sent the sales guy an email expressing my frustration. I have already looked and the next closest Arctic with the options I was wanting, Tow package and sun roof is over 100 miles away. This is my first time buying a brand new vehicle, just wondering if I should just put up with this dealership and take my bank finance note in and go ahead with the purchase, or possibly lose my holder and find another dealership in the area that would like to sell a car? Thank you in advance for any advice you may have to offer.

Id deal with another deal and grab your own financing. Grab the KK with the tow pack as you get the trans oil cooler from the factory.

with my 2k down i got my kk MSRP at 29,875 for 24,876.00

:) good luck and hopefully you get your KK

Write or talk to the sales manager or finance manager. Tell them they lost a sale because of this guy. A 100 mile drive isn't really that far to buy a vehicle, so why not take your business where its wanted.

Artic Edition MSRP is $29,875? Thought it would be more with all the options.

The Arctic was such a good deal for the price. From what I remember (and I could be wrong) I was looking at Wranglers but my buddy had an 09 Libby that I always loved. When I saw this bad booty storm troopered yeti sex goddess, I fell in love. Then I saw all the features it had.

I went to the "biggest dealer in the tri-state blah blah whatever they say" and walked the whole lot and back to my car and no one came to help me. Few guys were out smoking and I was kinda looking at them and one guy said in a Richard head tone "do you need help or something" (shoulda been my first sign) I said I was hoping to look at the Libby. then his tone changed a lot. I stood out in the rain while he took forever getting keys to a rental cause the libby was in another lot. Then we drove over to the lot and of course it was locked. So we're walking in the mud around the fence seeing if we can catch a peek at the illusive liberty. He saw a Jet edition and got all excited and told me that was it. I just agreed. I knew I wasn't buying from them.

Then we get back to the dealership and they want my name and number and start talking numbers. I told them "when you guys are ready to sell a jeep then I'll come back." Worst service I have ever had.

Called another Jeep dealer in Lumberton and told them what I wanted to see. Went the next morning they had it pulled out in front, shined up, and before I even got out of my car someone was coming up to me.

Basically, if I would have bought the jeep from the Dousche Dealer I knew I would have had buyers remorse. But the friendliness of the second dealer made it that much better.

I know this post is old but just wanted to share my story since I'm bored out of my mind. :-)r
