hey guys, I'm rolling on the rubicon wheel&tired setup- moabs with 245/75 MT/Rs. Those of you with the same tires, What pressure do you run on the street? they feel good at about 30 on or offroad, but they look a little flat at rest. I put them at 44psi and I got better mileage, but it's alot bumpier ride. I saw the max psi on the sidewall, but what's a good recommendation for street psi?

I dont have these tires yet but i would say around 35 psi. That is for standard loads. The only reason you would add psi is if you are planning on running them on a much heavier vehicle.

I run mine at 35 psi on the street in both my Rubicon and my KJ. Makes for the best ride - 30 is too mushy and absolutely kills your gas mileage.

i would go with 35 psi but not much more on road
like GPR65 said what is printed on the side wall is for heavy vehicle or "max load" and you will never put max load on those tires
as for off road i would go 15-18 psi no problem you probably could go 12 and still be ok
its all about rolling resistance more psi makes less resistance but a harder ride less psi makes more resistance but a softer ride and way better traction
think of a train wheel it has almost 0 rolling resistance but would ride like c@#%.

Thanks guys. I understand the dynamics of tire pressure and rolling resistance pretty well. I just didn't know what would be good for the KJ. I wasn't sure about using the recommendation on the door because they are not the stock size. I think I will lower them to maybe 40 or even 38. 33 was nice and smooth but a little soft for the highway driving I do to and from school.

I run mine at 37-39 on the road. Works great. The psi printed inside the door really doesn't apply...MTRs are completely different tires than what came stock.
