I lifted my KK with a Daystar 2.5 Budget Lift and I recently acquired a brand new set of 275/65/R18.

My Limited Edition came with R18 Chrome Clad's so I REALLY want to throw those rubbers on my rim and get rolling BUT I am obviously concerned of the clearance.

I have looked at some posts (with great pics) of similar overall diameter's but mostly R16.

So, you guys are the experts, will these work? If I need to mod the fender, any advice etc.?

Thanks for your help!

I think you will need 4" for that tire; 32.1" tall. Also I think it will be to wide with stock back spacing.

Those will likely rub all over the place. That tire is over 32" tall and almost 11" wide.

Get some 2" wheel spacers and try it. Don't turn to sharp though lol

And a nice big cardboard box....

He'll need a container of some sort to put his fender flares in. :ROTFL:

Be ripping flares, inner fenders etc all off,
even over speed bumps and curbs,
then as the stock springs start to sag even more there will be more ripping/falling off
then also no power unless you regear
This is going to be fun :ROTFL:

Ok lets make this thread a little more useful and talk about what sizes of R18 WOULD work then with the Daystar Lift.

A lot of members seems to say they have 32" overall diameters on stock and/or daystar lift, so what sizes will work.

a 32" tire will not work at all on a stock KK.You'd need at least close to 3" of lift to fit 265/75R16's(31.9" tall). The width of the tires you want is the biggest issue, you may get away with it if only driving to the mall and never actually turning very much.

Around the 245/65R18 size will work much better, worthless offroad though.

I am not talking about stock though,

I have stock R18 rims, but I have added the Daystar Lift 2".

So is everyone saying basically that any r18 tire with a 31" overall diameter will fit then?

What is the biggest width I might want then?

Thanks

About a 245 65 18 is the optimal size for your application, but good luck finding that size let alone an all terrain that size. 18" tires are way more expensive than 16" for the same overall diameter and width so swapping to a 16" rim will actually save you some cash after buying tires three times or so. Just something to think about.

No more wider then stock if using stock rims due to back spacing.Like Atthehelm stated just ditch the 18's all together and get some 16" rims, better tire choices and a whole lot cheaper.
