Yea, I don't care for the 225-75-16 stock OEM tires that came on my 2011 KK. I know that from what I have read the 245-75-16 would be the largest tire without adding a lift. Going 245-70-16 would give me width, but remain about the same diamater as the stock 225-75-16 tires. If I go with 235-75-16 I pick up a little diameter and width over the stock tires.

Now my question would be one of would I be best off going with either the 235-75-16 or 245-70-16 which would allow for some clearance yet in the fender well to accomidate the build up of mud/clay accumulation. I don't see any rock climbing in my future, but more along the back roads/fire roads type off roading. Also here in Texas we have this nasty stick to everything clay that will hold to a tire like a kid to a sucker. It tends to build up on the tires, if it flys off it will build up in the fender well and hang just a tight.

I may have the JBA 2" lift in my future, but this would be more for ride improvements and looks to level out the stance of the KK.

If I felt sure that there would be no rubbing with the 245-75-16 with out any cutting or beating the pinch weld in stock suspension configuration I would go this route and keep out of the mud until the JBA was installed. But, the 245-75-16 tire on stock suspension seems to be a crap shoot.

I am not to sure about the clearance on a KK. I would think that the 245 70 would have wider slots in the tread pattern so maybe it would work better since you are dealing with mud.

Im running a 235/75 and they were perfect before my lift now i want to go bigger. I personally think wider tires are good for sand and skinnier for mud thats just my preference though. But the minor difference between the 235/75 and 240/70 wont make a huge difference.

Maybe just find a tire that you like and see what sizes are available for that tire

Youre probably not gonna fit 245/75/16 without pounding and molding. The difference in the other two sizes is negligible. Without a lift I would choose a diameter tire closest to stock. You're also not gonna find a tire thatll fit that will sling that sticky mud. If you're gonna stay out of the mud until a lift is installed why not just wait on the tires and do it all at the same time.

OK, ordered, paid, and waiting for them to be delivered to the Discount Tire nearest me on Tuesday. I went with the Hankook ATM in the 235-75-16.

My choice was based on the reviews of the tire, the recommendations here on the forum. Size was chosen by being just a hair larger in both diameter and width by about 1/2" each way. And no need for a lift to run this size or worries of tire rub.

Plus the price of $112.75 each was pretty hard to beat. Ordered 5 so that I could also replace the spare tire.

Thanks for all the help!!
