Hi I just did the elephant hose mod with the clear 3/4 I D hose like the diagram. Is it normal that there is smoke coming out of the hose and it smells. has anyone routed the hose along the rails to lets say to near the rear. Thanks Bill

Its normal to get the smoke coming out of the EHM and soon you'll also get some oil spots on your driveway for the hose. I ran mine all the way back to my exhaust and ran like that for about 1 1/2 years and never had problems. I did drill a few small holes on the hose in the engine bay so it wouldn't blow the turbo seals in case it got clogged. standing behind it, looked like the smoke was coming out from the exhaust.

Because I found a member selling his provent for 40 dollars. They usually go from 130 to 150 so I couldn't let that one get away!

If it wasn't for that I would still have the hose on.
