Thank you all for your well wishes, I am truly humbled.
i am healing well and I never thought that I would have experienced more pain after the accident than when the accident first happened. It's debilitating and now sympathize with crash survivors that complain of aches and pain weeks after an accident.
I didn't take pictures, I didn't have time and my belongings are with me so I have no reason to go see the carnage except to snap a few shots and possibly remove some important parts like the Hot Tuned ECM, PreF37 TCM and the P1 Battery.
As for a replacement CRD, all I can say is that I am seriously considering the option and have begun looking. I do like the red one that is posted on the board.
I am just waiting for my insurance to settle with me first.
I want to add that I was very lucky: Besides being able to walk away from it, It helped that the next closest vehicle behind me was a volunteer ambulance returning to its home base from the hospital. It moved into a protective position preventing rush hour traffic from hitting me.
The cabin held up well, the damage was mostly to the front end. The oil pan cracked open, it was a pretty good hit.
The little beast saved me.
It blows my mind how tough these Liberty Jeeps are. Your Jeep did its job, which was protecting you. Yeah, you may have a hurt hand and hurt like crap but it could have been worse. I'm so glad to hear you are okay.
I was rear ended hard March 16 and it messed me up for a few days. I still have aches and pains. I was going 10-15mph and the guy who hit me was doing 45-50mph. Totaled his truck but only bent up my tailgate and knocked it out of alignment.
Take it easy and don't rush to find another CRD. It will come to you. Hope dealing with the insurance goes smoothly. I give you well wishes and prayers that you get to feeling better.
