I have been interested in doing the same, but like you have been a little scared of the wiring part. I am in SE Michigan and if there is some interested in helping us out I would be willing to pay for plenty of shop beer.
Actually, this was one of the easier jobs I've done for our Libby and also one of the more rewarding ones in terms of drivability.
Check out this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=26385&hilit=lift+pumpPurchase the lift pump for the Dodge RAM pickup with the Cummins diesel (also uses a bosch CP3 so you know it's compatible), requires minor adjustment of the tabs to fit the tank, swap the float (snaps in) to get accurate fuel gauge reading.
Wiring wise, pull the back seats - tap the fuel pump wire that's there - add a ground - and install the gasser harness to bring the additional wires (power/gnd) to the pump and you're done.
Few hours in the afternoon. Since everything else is in place from the gas versions (relays, fuses, and cycling power at the right times) most of the heavy lifting is already one for you.
No more air in the fuel system, hesitations, smoke, hard starts, and you get more lift out of the filters before they cause you grief.
