So randomly last night i tried to shut it, and it's like the latch doesn't hold onto the glass anymore.. any idea what this is? as of right now i just have a floppy window back there. always a darn problem with this thing :furious:

I had the same issue along with it not opening. Come to find out the ground just inside the left panel in the cargo area was loose. Made a new ground and it works great.

Click the glass release button again. Last time mine did that I just hit the button again and the latch decided to work again.

I wonder if it had anything to do with my radio/overhead lights fuse blowing? this fuse blows anytime i hit a big bump and i cant figure out why :banghead:

If it blowes everytime you hit a bump you have a loose wire that is causing a short everything it moves. Anything aftermarket attached to that circuit, check the wires. Then check everything on that circuit.

i have an aftermarket headunit, my sub wire that tells it when to turn on is stuffed into the ignition fuse, and i have a relay set up to my ABS pump fuse that cuts power to the fuse so it turns the pump to turn traction control/abs off for offroad. the Ground is in the cabin fuse panel, but it's not in contact with anything else. I'm just having trouble finding the wire that's shorting everything out.

just fooled with it a little more. Rear hatch doesn't close because the sensor doesn't seem to tell the glass holding mechanism to flip open(to allow the hook on the glass to be grabbed and held shut) so it just bangs against the closed side, i just manually opened it and shut the glass so at least my window isnt always open. i found out i have UNLOCK, but no LOCK. haven't checked fuses yet as it's raining and cold, but i'll keep you updated. any idea's or hints are welcome :banghead:

and based off of what i've researched, i think it's all linked to the one fuse.. if only i could find the thing causing it to pop.

Cannot help with fuse issue but latch issue might be related to viewtopic.php?f=5&t=65100&p=717861&hilit=deteant#p717861

latch issue was fuse related. put another fuse in and everything works fine now.. must be a short somewhere, i just can't find it. oh well. i'll carry some extra 15a's with me from now on.

My rear latch just started to do the same thing today, twice. If I hit the latch unlock on my key fob it works, but not with the rear swing/lift door handle.

Also I have had the transmission shifter not want to move out of park and to get it to work I have to lock my power locks.

I'm wondering if there is something going on with my BCM since it controls such functions. My CRD is an '06 Limited.

Took my rear gate handle apart and cleaned the micro switch and the rear window release works again.
