For the engine, yes. For the tranny--you know better than me, but mine has never actually hit 180 yet. The transmission temperature is much less stringently regulated than the engine. I don't even think it has a thermostat to cut out the cooler while it warms up. I monitored my temperature while traveling last weekend (372 miles from Tennessee to Missouri = hilly) and it stayed at a rock solid 125 on the highway (65-75 MPH). It creeped up to 155 when there was stop-and-go traffic on a hill. The only time I saw it get anywhere close to 180 was when I had to climb a VERY steep hill in a residential area after coming off the freeway, and then I only hit 175ish.

I don't think these low temperatures will hurt anything, but I know it's not running as efficiently as it could...

It's all good

And; Ooooh, I've been looking for these graphs 8)

I know it's on another discussion currently, but any luck on finding a dipstick for the KK with these markings so us normal people can check levels without hitting up the dealer?

Or... You can buy a 2006 KJ dipstick - Mopar P/N 53034065AA. Ordered one thru my local dealer for $8.30. Mine is a 2007, which also does not have the tranny dipstick. It has cold (70) and hot (140) ranges listed on it. Works great for me.
