My entire front end has decided to crap out this spring so I am replacing it all. After shopping around for some CV axles, I stumbled on some for 70 bucks each on the Oreilly's website. Looked for the core charge and there wasn't one, thought to myself this can't be right. Stopped in today and sure enough, 70 bucks each for two BRAND NEW axles. It is not listed on their in-store parts lookup system, but is on their website and in the paper catalogs.

Brand: Master Pro
Part #: AM8003 and AM8004
Line: MSV

You'll need this info if you go in the store with the part numbers. They were stocked in their warehouse so no shipping charges. Mine will be here on the truck in the morning. If you need a pair or might need a pair in the future, I'd grab em while I could before they realize they've got them a little under priced.

Kane

That's great news!

How many miles on the originals?

These are NOT a good idea. Cheap axles are never a good idea. A good CV joint kit along should cost around $100 or more. Rebuild your OEM axles and, whatever you do, do NOT give up your OEM axles.

Pay the little extra for the remaned CV's and return your old ones for the core charge. Those "new" CV's are junk.

As far as rebuilding your own CV's the kits are almost as much as a remaned CV after you return your old ones,it's very messy, and those clamps they give you never hold.
