I've been searching around the site and have found quite a bit of good info on the fan clutch upgrades and I just have a couple of specific questions:

When upgrading to the 2905 hayden clutch are most people simply re-attaching their metal fan?

I live in northern MN so I assume I could safely remove my fan for the winter to gain a little bit of mileage and then just re-install in the spring again?

Some reuse the stock metal fan and some use the gasser nylon fan whose part number I think is 52079654AE or 52079654AD

The main advantage of the nylon fan is it's lighter.

Very pleased with my Hayden/Nylon fan upgrade, the AC works much better in hot weather.
