I got a call from our local Jeep dealer telling me there was a recall on the rear control arms and they wanted to do the swap. I scheduled it and they even picked up the Jeep from my wife's work then returned it to her when they were finished.

When they had it, they said the lower front ball joints were shot but had been replaced in 2007 on another safety recall. They said the ball joints were on national back order so they put in aftermarket joints free of charge.

Whats crazy is I've known the rear bushings needed replaced and also that there was an issue up front but I wasn't sure what it was, yet.

I thought it was cool they contacted me, picked up and dropped off the Jeep, and fixed a couple issues without me having to draw them a map and talk them through the issues. I didn't buy this Jeep from them nor did they originally sell it.

I thought it was cool that Barton Jeep actually has some customer service so I'm sharing it.

I need a little bit of this quality-love happenin' in Pittsburgh.

My Jeep has been in the shop since February, waiting for Chrysler to ho-hum itself through getting needed parts.
Any backorder issues, I had to step in and provide them myself.

We need some on-the-ball action over in these parts.

Is it a smaller size dealership? If so I am not surprised. I have had my recall notice for several weeks now. I just got off the phone to schedule the appointment. The service writer advised me that Chrysler is only shipping 5 sets per week to them. So I am number 16 on the wait list. And this is what I would call a bigger size dealership. The dealership where I purchased my little beast was a small out in the country dealership. Customer service was bar none, and they serviced a small fleet of crd's. Well Chrysler pulled the plug on that dealer when they down sized. There are still some very good dealerships out there, but are getting harder to fine.
