Finished up putting the Katzkin on my seats. Got everything installed without any problems

Here a progress pictures. The grey was from a donor vehicle, it didn't match ANYTHING in the jeep.

Image

The Black is a slate color, the same shad as the steering wheel and trim pieces

Image

The two-tone tan inside is light, but it matches the upper A pillar trim, seats belts, visors and such. Basically three colors in the interior.

Gave the Sport a 100K overhaul. Changed the timing belt and idlers using the mark and go method, mark your sprockets, belt, and locations, transfer marks to the new belt and no problem with timing. Replaced the fan belt, change antifreeze, install 180 degree inline tstat, did not drill any holes in it, it works perfect, temp stays slightly below the 1/2 way mark.

Started the TB job using the Mopar manual, 1-2 hours later abandoned that for the GDE write up to keep things simple. :google:

I actually sold mine yesterday. It was a 2005 Limited and I really liked it, but I just wasn't using it enough and I hated neglecting my truck so I decided it was time to let one of them go. The only consolation is that the guy who bought it is a diesel fanatic as well so I know that it will be well taken care of. Thank you everybody on here for your knowledge and help over the last 8 months that I owned mine.

Install the factory roof rails, and a used battery tray from the junk yard. Earlier this week, new front wheel bearings to remedy the roaring and vibrations. This weekend... GDE Eco Tune!

Got around to acquainting myself with my wife's new CRD. I cleaned the MAP sensor, unplugged the MAF sensor, and removed the chrome mirror covers from the PO.

I recently picked up a new to me CRD Sport with 37,600 miles on it, to replace my previously totaled CRD and the following is the upgrade work I performed to it within the last 2 weekends. Approximately 45 hours:

1. - Replaced transmission computer control module with a Pre F37 transmission control module I had on the shelf from my previously totaled CRD.

2. - I cut out the muffler and MIG welded a 2 1/2" straight pipe to the tail pipe and coupled it at the catalytic converter, it now sounds quieter than the OEM muffler and I gained some MPG.

3. - Removed cloth seats.

4. - Removed carpet to access floor harness for new heated seat connections and steam cleaning of carpet. Had to do it becasue there was a Doggie smell from the PO that just wouldn't quit and prevented my lady from taking a ride to the Connecticut shore with me.

5. - Removed total interior, safety belts, plastic wall covers, plastic columns etc. so that the headliner could be dropped and the existing dome light / sunroof harness could be removed and replaced with a dome light, sunroof and EVIC harness taken from a 2005 Liberty.

6. - Cut headliner to make room for EVIC placement.

7. - Soldered new harness for motorized heated seats. Motorization to seats works but heat doesn't ..i'll need to do more study to get the heat to work.

8. - Installed EVIC harnesses in headliner.

9. - Reinstalled headliner with new EVIC attached, perfect fit and it works great with TPMS.

10. - Reinstalled cleaned carpet.

11. - Reinstalled interior.

12. - Installed motorized leather heated seats.

13. - Gave it an Oil change with Mobil 1 - 5w-40 and M301 filter.

14. - Cleaned and wrapped exhisting OEM CAC hoses with black Gorilla tape for longevity, they are now as good as the Samcos.

15 - Changed air filter, which had never been replaced by the previous owner and was the original filter from the day it came out of the factory. Truth.

16 - Cleaned MAP sensor and checked turbo..... Tight fit with no movement.

All systems are GO and it drives and sounds smooth. Quieter and better than my previous CRD, looks great too.
