I'd like to do my own oil changes, and also lube the chassis and driveline with a grease gun while I'm at it.

Does anybody know of a thread that describes: 1) how many grease fittings there are under the KK, and 2) where they're located? I'd hate to miss a greasing critical component and have it fail at an inopportune time!

If such a thread doesn't exist yet (and I have looked...), I'd really appreciate it if someone who does all the grease fittings on their own KK on a regular basis could write one up. Pics would be super helpful also. I'm sure you'd be helping out a lot of folks like me, who want to do their own maintenance but just need a little education.

I'd bet the KK has as many grease fittings as a KJ...... exactly 0 from the factory.

Wow, seriously? My XJ Cherokee had a lot! I suppose I should have peeked under there to see before writing this post! Really?!

everything is sealed and maintenance free these days. comes from lack of maintenance from most drivers. one less thing to worry about honestly.

Well, wow. Ok then. Only slightly embarrassed for not knowing that. :SOMBRERO: Hopefully this post helps someone else like me who went from an owning an XJ to a KK. Thanks for the info. :JEEPIN:

No wonder my mait. Guy always gave me a sideways glance when I ran down the list of "to dos" during warranty work.

I wouldn't know what to do with a grease fitting. I've heard of them though.

They went the way of the oil bath air cleaners, people to lazy to service them
Yes I'm old enough to have owned cars with them as well as having several places to grease. :goink:
I have the KJ up to 6 places now I have to grease :pepper:

Thought they did it when the oil changes were done.

Oh wait, people are too lazy to get oil changes too...

Thats what you get. LOL. About the same with my first ride a '93 yukon. I swear 20 felt like 100 once I was done and I had the ability to use my grandfathers shop.

Ok, now you've piqued my interest! What is an "oil bath air cleaner???" (I am probably indicating my age with such a question...)
