147,000 miles on my 05

Off the top of my head

Rear differential, EGR x 2 or 3, ecu x2, transmission controller, torque converter, valve body, transmission, turbo hoses x 6 or 7, battery, glow plugs and controller

Water pump and timing belt replaced.

Shocks are gone and the torque converter is close.

2006 CRD 136k miles.

GDE tune to get rid of EGR issue
2nd set of tires
Waterpump malfunctioned at 117k miles and replaced it as well as timing belt
2nd battery from costco $75 and is awesome. Libby turned over like it was warm all winter long.
Tow my 93YJ on HD trailer no issues. Working on installing coil rite bags in rear to help with towing.

BOTTOM LINE: I love this thing and everybody at the trails wants to see under the hood when they find out its a diesel!

Just normal driving but it is my wife's... She does not let the turbo cool and barely allows the thing to get oil pressure before taking off. It doesn't matter how many times I harp on her about it. Most of the time I think she could be dragging a tree behind her, after running it over, without knowing about it. In otherwords, I'm always playing catch up to what the current issue is. So other then a woman driving it, its normal day to day stuff.

Hammy,

You should tell your wife that if she wants the freedom of not warming and cooling the car, then she's on the hook for all ofthe cost of repairs. Then, just lay off the maintenance for awhile, and let her blow the turbo and pay for it. That'll cure things right quick.

:pepper:

Turbo just went on our CRD, and let me tell you, everybody has a whole new attitude about how sacred the Jeep is after everything we've had to go through since December.

25 is my average too and I'm extremely aware of speed, coasting, etc. Bought this after driving a new 2008 prius for 3 years. Modified for mpg and do ~58mph in 5th gear with cruise control with lots of freeway driving and 25mpg it is.

2006 Liberty CRD Limited (Silver)

112k miles currently

New Duralast Gold Battery at 75k (still running strong)

Replaced both front Wheel bearings at @80k

Alternator at 92K

Front tie rod recall done, rear control arm recall done (Today actually on the rear)

Currently fighting through the FCV/EGR issue, replaced the EGR valve myself to find out now that it's the FCV, that's next since I live in an emission state (Near Nashville, TN)

Also currently have a glow plug issue, dealer wants $210 each for those plugs, so that's part of why I'm here in the first place.

Well let's see 3 sets of tires, timing belt, 2 batteries, first set of CCA hoses, new steering rack, upper and lower ball joints, new rear LCA. 125K and it has been cross country, wheeled, towed with, and been a recovery vehicle more then a few times. It is armored to the gills and has tons of mods and have yet to have any major issues.

Bought used with 70,000ish, changed the timing belt/water pump/thermostat/idlers/tensioner myself at 107,000... Updated fuel head/wiring myself 114,000. Oil changed every 6,250 miles 5w-40 Mobil One Turbo Diesel Truck oil. We just traded it in with about 135,000 never had a hiccup, I had planned on getting tune and other upgrades shortly. I liked the CRD, in my case it treated us very well, wife just wanted a car again. Which is now a Pontiac G8, and on the 2nd day of ownership, the fancy booty HVAC/radio screen doesn't turn on.

I have 178,000 miles on my 05 CRD. It has been a great vehicle. I have also suffered through 2 replacement egr's, replaced all of my ceramic glow plugs with stainless steel ones (had to remove the head to retrieve a broken part of a glow plug), replaced the timing belt at 100,000 miles (it had no visible signs of wear) but did not replace the water pump, replaced the stock turbo hoses with SAMCO hoses. I expect to get in excess of 350,000 miles on the motor and vehicle. The tech tips and suggestions from other owners have been great.

05 CRD
absolutely stock expect for the SAMCO hoses

Just passed 170k.

Working on Turbo Charger #3. Turbo hoses replaced (with better stock hoses?) under warranty with first turbo failure somewhere around 65k miles. Those hoses are still going strong.

Other then the turbo's, things you would expect with this kind of mileage.

Both front wheel bearings
U joints
Glow plug(s)
Ball Joints
Lots of fluid changes.
