Hey LOST list. Recently picked up a 2006 CRD Sport from a list member (you can still find the classified ad -- see "DC-Metro"). Found the list the same time I found the Jeep on craigslist. On day one of ownership I swapped the rims/tires with another craigslist find -- a set of Freedom Edition wheels. They match the grey plastic about as well as I could've hoped. Tires are Yoko Geolanders with a bunch of initials ... H/T-S I guess it is. Put in a new stereo today; got an Alpine CDE-HD137BT ... wow that's a mouthful. It's supposed to mate (bluetooth I'm talking) well my Android phone and control Pandora, etc. so look forward to trying that out. It's working and the HD radio is solid, but didn't have time to try out the other features. I've got a 9-month old so I don't have much time for much of anything outside of her and her mom's honey-do-list ... but yeah, my little Nora was what prompted the search and purchase of a decent mpg-getting SUV. I've had my eye on the CRD since it came out and I was pleased to find prices that were within my budget. Anyway, I've already learned a lot (cleaned the VERY dirty MAP sensor today after the radio install) and look forward to being a part of the list and maybe meeting a few of y'all in person sometime. Oh, Happy Fourth!!!

Here's a couple pics:

Welcome! Where in NOVA are you? I'm out in South Arlington. CRD looks pretty nice! I was actually looking at those Freedom wheels on craigslist last week, nice pick up!

I'm out in Manassas ... work in Springfield. Yeah, those wheels were meant to be for me ... guy lived in MD but went to school in Manassas so he brought 'em out and we met at Best Buy for the deal. Still trying to get rid of the stockers if you know anyone; got an ad in the classifieds and in CL.

Put my first tank of diesel in today so got to check the mpg ... barely 16. :( *BUT* that was mostly with the dirty MAP and MAF still plugged in AND I was hot rodding around enjoying the turbo. ;) Doing some longer miles this weekend and MAP is clean and MAF is unplugged so hope to see a big improvement. Oh and I checked my oil ... wow is it black! Previous owner had the receipt showing the oil had just been changed so I thought maybe they ripped her off ... nope, thanks to LOST I learned that in stock configuration, all the soot getting cycled through the engine contaminates the new oil pretty much instantly. Gotta love this forum.

I haven't been on here for too long, but I spent a long time reading up on stuff! These guys are a great resource. I will be installing my Frankenlift, Al's arms, and LBJs next weekend in my drivewary with a friend (if you want to turn a wrench and drink some beer in Arlington). Soon after the lift I'll be throwing on some 15" Cragar soft 8s with 31x10.5 MTRs, so I will be placing a similar ad in CL for my stock steelies in the next few weeks!

Ah man I'd love to be there ... nothing better than learning about your Jeep by wrenching on someone else's. ;) Seriously, if the stars align and my wife is in the right mood when I ask I MIGHT be able to help for awhile. From what little research I've done on lifts, looks like you're doing it right. At the very least I'd definitely like to meet up sometime to see the results in person. PM me your contact info and I'll do the same.

Thanks!
