Slews of foul language coming from within, We just drove from Austin, OKC, Knoxville Arkansas, DFW, back to Austin, all around Austin (until the ignition lock broke) I went to move the Jeep this morning and now the transmission won't engage.
I revved in neutral, nothing.
Went to check the transmission fluid (engine running, neutral) and it was really high, like it had drained back, but this time all the way,???
I am suspecting that perhaps (maybe) the little o-ring press fitting didn't catch all the way and has slipped out, allowing air into the system - but come on, after about 1500 miles? - really?

Solved, dropped the pan last night, frickin oring and filter fell out of the hole,,, tapped that thing back in properly with the handle of a hammer and problem solved,,, make SURE you replace that oring when you do the filter. Mine was totally gone after 115k miles. Oil looked like it had not been changed,,, ever but was still red the bottom of the pan was filthy.
