I have an opportunity to pick up a pair of KJ tow hooks, but without the M bolts. How difficult would these be to install if I had to use nuts and bolts and washers from the hardware store? And would they be strong enough? :juggle:

Here is the Craigslist posting: http://toledo.craigslist.org/pts/3105653249.html

Thanks for your professional opinions! :D

You'd have to remove the bumper cover, but other than that if you used heavy enough grade hardware you'd be ok I bet, 10.9 is OE.

As far as rigging up the hardware goes it isn't hard I just went to a local machine shop and picked up a piece of steel in the right width to fit inside the frame rail and cut it into two pieces and marked the location of the mounting holes with a black marker then drilled for the two 10.9 flange bolts. OnceI was sure everything fit OK I took the setup to muffler shop and had them tack weld the bolts to the steel plate so they wouldn't turn and then put the whole thins back together. Don't think I have more than $20 in the mounting hardware.

What he said.
You don't necessarily have to weld the bolts to make it work either.
