I'm a newbie to Modding my KJ and this may be already on here, but I didn't find it so..
Where is the best place to mount the CB antenna as to not interfere with the rear lift gate?
I would prefer it to be on the spare tire mount area but couldn't think of a good way to mount it.
I really don't want to drill holes in the body and the roof rack seems too tall for trail rides.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Heyyyyy, welcome to LOST!
A great way to search is with Google, a much better way to find keywords.

Here is a thread with mounting locations for the KJ.

I used this mounting bracket also, the one posted by bugnout.. Worked out very well. Used the instructions on running the coax posted by Yellow Coyote(somewhere on this forum). They were easy to follow. :D

This method is easy and cheap, looks great, and doesn't get in the way.

My SWR at full transmit power is <1.5 on all channels using this setup.

I know this is a little late...But I can tell you my solution. I got a spare tire mount from arizonarockyroad.com and I either use a firestik quick connect or a tilt bracket. I can post pix this weekend if you like.

I like a magnetic CB antenna. That way when we're in town and don't use the CB I can just pop it off the roof and it's out of the way.
