I've been in and out of the shop a few times in the last month. I had a P2096 CEL that the dealer said was an exhaust leak in the manifold, so they replaced that. The CEL came back, they tried reflashing the PCM and another system. It came back again. The third time they loosened and re-torqued the manifold bolts. Light is still out for now, but I'm seeing something very strange...

While driving, I'll notice that the jeep acts like it stalled. Dashboard lights come on, radio "resets", etc. Just for a brief moment. Everything comes right back up again. The engine doesn't lose power, nothing else behaves weird. Any clue? I will check the battery terminals of course, but I'm somewhat inclined to think that the computer reflash might have done something.

check the connectors on the ECU and the BCM. it's possible something got jarred loose.
I'm leaning towards the BCM more though, as if the ECM connectors were loose the engine would likely shut down.
