I spoke with a fellow today who still has his original torque converter at over 100,000 miles. My CRD went through the first one in 40k, then at 50k, until finally at 65k I was able to get the Euro-TC put it. From what I've read here most have similar experiences as I do.

Is anyone still on their factory TC? Does it shudder/is it on its way out yet?

Mine croaked at 126,000 miles. Time is probably counting down on the others.

I'm at 119K miles and still on the original. I don't think I've ever felt a shudder. I just had the transmission serviced so if the stock TC is going to konk out hopefully it will wait another year or so.

I am at 69,000 and the F-37 was performed at 26,000 by the previous owner. I have moderate shudder climbing hills if I don't "drive around it" or under heavy throttle while in lock up. I will be replacing the TC in the next 12 months.

I'm at 66Kmi and am on the original TC. I don't have the F37 and just two weeks ago, at 65Kmi, replaced the the trans filters and oil, and got a GDE tune. I never felt a shudder in 65Kmi, but have felt a shudder twice since repalcing the filters and oil, and doing GDE tune. I don't know what to make of it. Is it the oil change, I used Valvoline, or the limiting of torque to 270 lb-ft in lock up from the GDE tune that is the culprit?

85000 miles on mine. Just got back from towing a 24ft travel trailer. So far, so good. But, I don't know if the previous owner had any TC work done.

I'm on OEM at 110k. I have felt it shudder about 10 times on the same hill near where I live.

120k, OEM TC replaced on F37 recall with New OEM. mine shuddered a bit before the recall, and just noticed recently a slight shudder while towing up a hill. No complaints otherwise.

I bought ours with 8,500 miles on it and it had the F37 already done. I had the GDE Hot tune done to ours probably 20,000 miles ago and we are still on the OEM/F37 TC. We are now at 108,000 miles.
