My 2011 jet (50 state emissions) has what seems to be a tic coming from my driver side catalytic converter. I took it to 2 dealers they say its normal. They will not replace it if its not throwing a code.
I have listened to over 10 libertys so far and yet to here this "normal" sound.
Any one else here have this problem? I can really hear it when I pull into the garage. I also listened to everything with a stethoscope and it really seems to be the cat.

So when does the noise happen? Engine running or shut off?

Engine running. No noise on startup. I get it as the engine heats up. Speaking of engine heat, I think this 3.7 heats up faster then any engine I've owned which started with a 318ci in a 1976 aspen and my last 2 where 3.5s in a Magnum and 300. I'm going to time it. It doesn't over heat according to the dash gage.

When I purchased my 2012 - we wanted another unit with the skyslider - it had an exhaust leak and overall did not sound "right"... Dealer was waiting for it to "throw a code" as well. Sad that they do not reply on basic troubleshooting skills and the word of tech...

I think we all know this noise that have a KK. I just switched to Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil today and it greatly reduced the noise. I do remember reading that it's just the nature of the beast and possibly noisy lifters.

I have a 5w30 semi synthetic put in from the dealer I got it from. I know 5/20 is recommended. Some run the 5/20 some run the 5/30.
I don't think its lifters If I use my stethoscope I can really hear it on the cats nothing on the block or heads except normal valve train sounds. Its very pronounced going through a toll booth (reflections) . When the engine is under load it sounds like an exhaust leak. I'm thinking maybe the flanges at the exhaust manifold/pipe connection. I made sure every thing was tight but it could be that soft metal gasket at the joint is bad. I am about to take matters into my own hands. I hope it is not an exhaust manifold gasket. That looks like pain to remove.

I hear ya. My father is 75 years old he started building engines for race boats when he was 16. He can read a vacuum gauge better than some of today's "techs" read a scan tool. I would love for him to hear it but all those years of racing have not been kind to his ears.

Keep us updated if you do. I've lived with it forever but really irritates me.
