I know of a few people who have done the command-Trac to the Roc-Trac. Well I am going to attempt the select-Trac to roc-Trac I know it will easily fit. But my question is about the linkage I know the command-Trac linkage will work easily but what about the select-tracs. Does anyone have diagrams of the linkages or atleast the differences.

You can use your current shifter but part time 4wd selection will be 4 low, full time selection will be "N","N" will be part time 4wd,and 4 low will be 2wd.Your current 2wd selection will be dead and the shifter will not even move to it.Could pick a 231 shifter from a wrecked KJ to work better but the selections will be backwards still.

I can find the shifters for cheap most without the cable though how hard is it to just replace the cable? And could I just use my current cable?

I can not say,I've never tried but I'm sure you can as long as the select trac cable mounts to the command trac shifter I don't see why not.

Does anyone remember the issues with the command-trac shifter? Was it the pattern or the to many options?

The only issue is the pattern is reversed so what your used to being 4 low is now 2wd and what your used to being 2wd is now 4low with the command trac shifter.

I meant command Trac what was the issues with its pattern? Or with it in general or has it even been tested by anyone. Since I will have 2h 4h N 2lo 4lo how will that work out even with the select-Trac?
