Hello everyone just trying to figure out what winch to go with for my 2011 KK, like what brand to go with? and synthetic cable or steel cable?

Any thoughts?

Do you have a place to mount it?
If not I'm working on a temporary method that replaces one of the front tow hooks. Hopefully it'll be done by Monday and I'll post pictures.

Well actually I hope that after this weekend I will have a place for it, because I hope to be picking up my new front winch bumper. But that sounds like a great idea though I would still like to see some pictures of it.

I have the 9K version of this on my YJ: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-931800/

And you are in luck - it's on sale! There is also a 12K...
(It is actually a re-branded T-MAX...)

Whatever you decide on, go with synthetic line. Saves weight and is a lot easier to work with and doesn't kink. I would suggest at least a 9K capacity. And, if I were buying one today I would pay more and get one made in the USA.

I am sure that will work just fine. It'll look good on your new winch bumper and let you pull out Fords!

I'd definitely get synthetic rope. A hause fairlead will also keep you aproach angle good and imo look 100x better compared to a roller fairlead.
I based the winch plate size around all warn winch dimensions, except the M12000.
It is a 10 x 4.5 bolt pattern and you have 8.5" of room to the left and right from the center of the bolt holes.
