I see some people are getting their products in a decent time. Then Im seeing other saying theyre still waiting.

After keeping so many of his customers on hold for so long I dont see why people continue to order from him. Youre kind of doing it to yourselves. Instead of complaining try and cancel your order and get your money back.

I also cant believe some of the guys that still stick up with him after knowing this has been an ongoing thing for the last two years. I realize he is a friend of some of the "regulars" around here. There needs to be a point when enough is enough though. Stop taking orders or doing side projects and finish whats on your plate Marty. If there is an issue with some of the customers and theyre just complaining let us hear both sides of the story instead of just bashing. Its certainly not gonna help business to let rumors fly.

If hes back in the biz, good! We need all we can get. Marty has come on here a few times in the past couple years keeping us up to date. In case some of you forgot, he was having family issues, health issue, moving around and keeping busy. One man cant do everything himself and still live a life.

I have an idea, *directing this at anyone in or thinking about getting in the aftermarket parts business* create some stuff, then sell it. Don't sell it, then create it. Take some risk, develop a good reputation, grow from there. Several "companies" have gone about offering parts the wrong way and too many people have been burned.

:2cents:

Oh look, I get change back!

Maybe everyone should heed what TBJ stated on facebook the other night
He would not be discussing it on an open forum

All I can say is that I ordered stuff from Rock Lizard and I received it in a very timely professional manner.
I have no problems ordering from from Rock Lizard again.

I had a great experience with Marty. Came when he said it would, looked great, answered calls when I had questions about how to put it on, and was all around easy to work with. Last weekend when I went back home from college I ran into 2 xjs that were completely covered in RL products. They only had good things to say and how much they wished he would start making xj products again. I think its safe to say that there are a few bad or difficult transactions with every company, but it doesn't define the company as a whole. I was pretty mad that my shocks took forever to arrive, but I didn't start a thread to bad mouth jba or arb. Maybe I should boycott the two because of my experience!

different story when he said "it's being made this weekend" three times, and it still isn't made. realistically, i think it's actually been closer to a year since i "ordered"/ gave my money away for no product.

I'm not bad mouthing when I'm stating my experience.
Not posting others experiences. My factual experiences might be different than yours. But negative experience have just as much right to be posted as positive.

I have nothing but good things to say about Rock Lizard and my dealings with Marty. My bumper is awsome, it was fairly priced, and on time. That said, I picked it up and paid cash when I got there.

If you feel ripped off, that sucks, and you should try to get your money back. I'm assuming you didn't pay cash... Most credit cards have protections for this sort of situation, and I believe paypal does as well. If that fails, you can always go to court. I'd start by placing a phone call to the man himself and telling him you just want a refund, not a bumper :2cents:

I appreciate all of those people that have not received their product and take time to post their experiences. What I don't understand are those people that have received their product, seemingly taking offense from those who did not.

The obligation to communicate with the customer is not on the customer, and suggesting (by tommudd) that email is not an acceptable form of communication is baffling. I had no problem sending and receiving replies from Rock Lizard in several exchanges over the past couple of weeks. Rock Lizard clearly has delivery problems, and his method of prioritizing orders is unclear at best. Based on nothing other than reading all of the posts that I can find on this topic, it seems to me that Rock Lizard puts personal issues into his prioritization of orders.

I like the products that I have seen on his website and on the vehicles posted on this forum, and I would like to deck my Liberty out with his stuff, but I am not interested in sending a couple of thousand dollars in advance, or half of that for a deposit, and then not being in the chosen circle of those who get their product on time, or at all? I was quoted a 6-8 week delivery time to receive what I was interested in, so as far as I am concerned, I would be interested in placing my order if in the next 6 weeks, there are no customers complaining that they have been waiting more than 3 months.

I have ordered parts like these for my XJ from small shops (Nates4x4) in the past, and I have had an excellent experience. I was close to ordering from Rock Lizard before I found all of the complaints from people still waiting. If he fixes his delivery problems, I'm all in. 'Til then, I'm sitting on the fence.

First post for you, Welcome to LOST
will be interesting to see what you drive when you post everything up
Now, I never once said that email was unacceptable way to contact him. I only stated that a phone call may work as well. Many times with anyones personal email account or any business account emails come in by the hundreds and some may get lost. So if you have emailed and are not satisfied try calling possibly.
I think alot read more into most situations than needs be.
I also know of people waiting to hear about products from other companies right now and they are much larger.
But now jump on
