WAY different from our engine. The EGR pipe is much more solid on that one, obviously higher up on the back of the engine... The EGR valve is now vacuum controlled, while the turbo is now electric VNT control and looks bigger. The injectors look different, and all the accessory drive stuff is different. No clutch fan on this engine, b/c it was for a FWD setup only.

It looks like the later generation VM 2.8 that was put in the Export model Wranglers from 2008 onward. The head and injectors are different, this looks like the same one my son has in his Wrangler.

On it's way to be exported, probably in a vehicle, something must have happened that caused it to end up in a salvage lot here in the US eg., fell off of a truck or rail transport.

This is a $3700 boat anchor as there is no wiring harness or engine controller to go along with the iron. The engine is the redesigned 2.8l VM engine used from 2008+ everywhere in the world, less North America. The ecm and electrical are very different compared to the KJ engine and are not interchangeable.

On a side note, this engine is better than the KJ as they entire top end has been redesigned, while the bore/stroke remains the same as KJ.

would it worth the money for parts. Head , turbo is worth a lot if they will work on our tractor.

None of the parts from that engine will work with the KJ engine, it was a completely new design from the block up.

Nothing is impossible, the impossible just costs more.
